Philosophy: The members of the NYS Chapter of the ASMBS and the Chapter Board recognize the indispensable role that health care companies play in helping our Chapter maintain its focus on bariatric and metabolic surgery and enhancing the care that its members provide to patients.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the New York State Chapter of the ASMBS. The ASMBS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery designates this live activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Meet Our Conference Speakers
Alfons Pomp, MD
Key note Speaker is Alfons Pomp, MD, Chief of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Leon C. Hirsch Professor of Surgery. He is an Attending Surgeon at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He will be presenting on his experience in performing Bariatric Surgery Internationally.
The President of the ASMBS, MD, FASMBS; Associate Professor of Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Lemer College of Medicine, and Program Director, Bariatric Surgery Fellowship, Cleveland Clinic, Stacy Brethauer, will address the attendees with the goals for the ASMBS.
