Livia Kogan graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 2004 and continued her studies at Stony Brook University, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in PA Studies.
She has 7 years of experience as a Physician Assistant at both Bellevue Hospital Center in bariatric surgery and Mount Sinai in the transplant department. She is a well-rounded practitioner with extensive management experience including overseeing and growing the Bellevue Bariatrics program.
At Bellevue Hospital, Livia works in inpatient and outpatient care, developing the teaching modules and testing for all mid-level practitioners in her department. She has been praised for being the backbone of the program.

Anne Has been with Ellis Medicine for 36 years, after attending Albany Medicine School of Nursing. She has worked with patients who have had weight loss surgery since 1979.
Anne joined the Ellis Medicine Bariatric Care Center in 2006 as the Bariatric Program Clinical Coordinator. She obtained her Certification in Bariatric Nursing in 2007.
She is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as well as the New York State Chapter of the ASMBS where she serves as Secretary.
She is currently pursuing her certification in Health and Wellness Coaching.

Bariatric & General Surgery
Laura Campisi has a Masters degree in industrial & organizational psychology and has been a bariatric coordinator as well as general surgery manager for 4 years at Maimonides Medical Center. The last 3 years she took on the role as Administrative Director for the divisions.
She has been an ASMBS member since 2006 and received designation for the institution as a Center of Excellence in 2006.
While in the process of obtaining her doctorate degree in health care administration, she continues to provide support to bariatric patients by being actively involved in their pre & post-operative care. She helps to alleviate concerns and gives guidance throughout their process. She also plays an active role in providing staff education hospital wide.
Chair-Elect: Charmaine Gentles-Moise, ANP-BC, RNFA
Bariatric Clinical Liaison
Charmaine Gentles, ANP-BC, RNFA, Oversees the multidisciplinary Bariatric Team at North Shore University Hospital. She serves as a Clinical Liaison in the field of Bariatric Surgery for 17 years. She is the resource person for patients and nurses and bridges the gap between residents and the Bariatric Surgeons. She Also assists on hundreds of cases in the operating room.
She has been very instrumental in the development of the hospital’s Bariatric Center of Excellence Program. She delivers one on one personalized care to her patients. Some of her responsibilities involve providing direct patient, family and staff education and managing the bariatric patients’ daily plan of care. She ensures the patients have a safe and positive postoperative experience. Ms Gentles has been elected by the Health Systems’ Senior Leadership to serve as a member of the Subject Expert Group for the development of the Bariatric Order Sets for the North Shore-LIJ Health System.
Ms Gentles is very driven and motivated. Her vision is to share her many years of experience with her colleagues to ensure the bariatric patients have safe outcomes. She also presents her work at the annual ASMBS national conference and co-authored and published in the field of bariatric surgery.
